What inspired you to start?
I saw Maya dance at Casablanca in New Castle, DE
Describe your dance style:
2 parts Vintage Oriental (aka American
Cabaret), 2 parts Gothic, 1 part Turkish, and 1 part Tribal, shaken
VIGOROUSLY, not stirred. I've taken classes and workshops and classes
in those various style with teachers including: Ilianna, Shems,
Shahrzad, Alexia, Tempest, and Zafira.
Do you have any other dance or music training?
I have had many
dance and music classes since elementary school age including: ballet,
jazz, tap, private flute instruction, concert band, chorus, Collegium
Musicum, Gamelan, and high school and community musical theater.
Because of bellydance I have started doumbek drum and zills.
What do you like best about bellydancing?
Improvisation, when it is
about feeling the moves in the music.

to organize more bellydance and drum

If you could have one superhero power, what would it be?
Teleportation or the ability to stop time. Either one could get me
places faster.
